I just wandered into your site when i searched for flowering and fruit-bearing trees to give as housewarming gift to a friend.
My friend is moving within the next 3 months to his new house, but he prefers a garden full of trees (flowering and fruit bearing) instead of a rolling lawn full of grass (1000+sq m garden area). Unfortunately we discovered only recently that the soil is approx a 0.5 meter to 1meter deep in most places, and then bedrock. Can tall trees like mango, duhat, Palawan cherry, acacia, narra, avocado, etc, thrive in such shallow land?
Would appreciate your comments.

| hi! im cleora, just lyk to ask if how much wud a seedling of a cassia fistula cost & a 5ft tree for cassia fistula (golden shower) cost?
is it fast to grow? im planning 2 plant cassia fistula, but our new house(where i plan to grow it) wouldn't be livable until. if i would plant a seedling now, wud it grow too big, that i couldn't relocate it in our new home? or is it better if iwould buy it by dec. nalang to directly plant it in our new home?.
by the way, i am living in manila, quezon city. but we are planning to relocate in rodriguez, rizal.
